Renowned boxing patron Tony Aldeguer has expressed his delight over the fact that former two division world champion Brian Viloria will fight undefeated pound for pound No. 2, WBC flyweight champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez of Nicaragua at Madison Square Garden on October 17 and has offered WBO light flyweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes as a sparring partner.
Aldeguer told the New Standard/boxingmirror.com that Nietes will be training in
the US in preparation for his November title defense in Bacolod City and the
two Filipino boxers can help each other.
The moving spirit behind the ALA Gym said Nietes will train in Los Angeles because well-known strength and conditioning coach Nick Curson will also be working with the Pagara brothers, Prince Albert and Jason as well as the electrifying Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo who will all be featured in ALA Promotions initial US promotional venture at the StubHub Center on October 17.
