before JC Intal earned another call-up for the national team.
A journeyman for most part
of his PBA career, the 6-foot-4 swingman is coming off a breakthrough season
with the Barako Bull Energy and Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tab Baldwin was
quick to notice that.
Intal is part of the
16-man Gilas Pilipinas pool that is gearing up for the FIBA Asia Championship
in China this September, being one of the surprise selections for the squad
